Newly renovated or re-build. Very clean and the room is spacious

Location is in the middle of motel area. It is OK and safe, but some people might feel uncomfortable. Can walk to Gangneung station.

What was the highlight of Pine City Hotel

Wonderful new hotel near the metro KTX station

Hotel room is clean and quiet with two big comfortable beds. Bathroom is new, and spacious with all toiletries provided. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Front desk person was friendly and spoke good English. Location is great, metro station is within walking distance and convenience store is right downstairs.

The room was hot when we entered. We opened the window to cool down the room. Not sure if the thermostat was working correctly and we didn't bother asking the front desk since we only stayed one night.

Nice stay to see the Olympics

The room was huge for Korean standards (and for a lot of western standards too). Everything was brand new, very clean, and very nice. It’s close to the train station too (a quick walk) and across from a convenience store. Good location.

Clean, spacious, new room and friendly staff

Very clean room, brand new hotel, excellent front desk staff that was very helpful. The breakfast was good and they always asked if I wanted eggs (and which style). Great location for getting to/from Olympic venues.

A little over-priced, but I was there for the Olympics so I guess it's understandable.

So glad I decided to go with this choice

very easy, 5 minute walk from Gangneung Station. front desk staffed 24hrs. Fast and easy check-in. Good breakfast choices and they are super fast at cooking your eggs and serving them to you.

Bed was a little hard for my liking (but that was offset by the nice fluffy pillows)

Made to feel comfortable in every way.

Comfortable beds. Quiet rooms. Very clean. Great shower. Location is convenient to train station. Despite limited English the staff was very very helpful.

Area is shabby. No closets for clothes. Breakfast could be healthier. Tiny windows!

Nice, clean rooms. Close to the train station.

Air condition didnt work, as the controller was broken. As a result we had to have the window open. Outside the window there was a huge blinking neon sign, witch made it hard to sleep.

We loved It! We felt we really lucked out with this find.

The bed was comfortable. The bathroom spotless. Staff very helpful. Because their restaurant wasn't ready our first morning, the staff treated us to a complimentary breakfast at a restaurant across the street.

The doors are a bit tricky to work. We had to request room service. Once it was understood that we wanted our rooms made up, the cleaning was excellent.

What was the highlight of Pine City Hotel

We were so focused on enjoying our Olympics experience, that the hotel was an afterthought.

The facility was very new and in great shape. The rooms were very secure and sound did not transmit from room to room or floor to floor. We had a very restful sleeping experience.

Our party of 3 received 2 bath towels. We asked for and received a third. There are no wash towels, only hand towels for drying. Our room had a tub, no shower. A very large tub for two (2) people. Huh? Breakfast was okay and they obviously tried to accommodate a "western palate." They offered chocolate muffins to one party at a "reserved table" on both days of our visit. They did not offer those to anyone else. Same thing with bananas and fruit in general (other than oranges). Reserved table only. Eggs, toast, jelly, rice, small sausages, bulgogi, soup, are all on the breakfast menu. Staff is very friendly (breakfast staff) and helpful. Check-in went smoothly although we did not receive a receipt. We were also not asked to register. It felt like they were keeping the $500 a night payment "off the books" since it was Olympics time. I guess they can run their hotel any way they want. Overall, this was a good experience.
